Mathematics – Stage 1 – Year B – Unit 34

This two-week sample Stage 1 unit develops student knowledge, understanding and skills of measurement.

Mathematics K-2 Syllabus © 2022 NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) for and on behalf of the Crown in right of the State of New South Wales.

Students are provided opportunities to:

• measure, record, compare and estimate a variety of attributes including length, area, volume and mass using informal units
• explore and connect mathematical measurement concepts
• apply mathematical measurement techniques to solve investigations and communicate their thinking.
