Stage 3, mathematics, Year B – Unit 25
This unit develops the big idea that questions can be asked and answered by interpreting data.
Students are provided with opportunities to:
- interpret and compare a range of data displays, including data presented in digital media
- identify sources of bias and misleading representations of data
- compare, order and represent decimals.

- Whole numbers: Recognise, represent and order numbers in the millions
- Decimals and percentages: Recognise that the place value system can be extended beyond hundredths
- Decimals and percentages: Compare, order and represent decimals

Whole numbers: Locate and represent integers on a number line
Data B – MAO-WM-01, MA3-DATA-02
- Interpret and compare a range of data displays
- Interpret data presented in digital media and elsewhere
