In this 2-week unit students are provided opportunities to:

  • classify two-dimensional shapes and describe their properties
  • estimate angles and use a protractor to measure, identify and compare angles using degrees
  • solve problems involving duration, using 12- and 24-hour time.

Geometric measure A – MAO-WM-01, MA3-GM-03

  • Angles: Estimate, measure and compare angles using degrees
  • Angles: Use a protractor to measure and identify types of angles

Two-dimensional spatial structure A – MAO-WM-01, MA3-2DS-01, MA3-2DS-02

2D shapes: Classify two-dimensional shapes and describe their properties

Non-spatial measure B – MAO-WM-01, MA3-NSM-02

Time: Solve problems involving duration, using 12- and 24-hour time
