In this 2-week unit students are provided opportunities to:
- use data in a spreadsheet to create column graphs
- investigate how data can be interpreted and used to make decisions
- conduct chance experiments and compare the predicted and actual results where the outcomes are equally likely.
Data A – MAO-WM-01, MA2-DATA-01, MA2-DATA-02
- Organise and display data using tables and graphs
- Interpret and compare data
Data B – MAO-WM-01, MA2-DATA-01, MA2-DATA-02
- Select and trial methods for data collection
- Construct and interpret data displays with many-to-one scales
Chance A – MAO-WM-01, MA2-CHAN-01
Identify possible outcomes from chance experiments
Chance B – MAO-WM-01, MA2-CHAN-01
- Describe the likelihood of outcomes of chance events
- Identify when events are affected by previous events
