Students are provided with opportunities to:

• collect and organise categorical and discrete numerical data through observations or surveys
• represent and interpret data, with and without the use of digital technologies
• recognise, represent, order, and partition numbers within different ranges.

Whole numbers: Read, represent and order numbers to thousands

• Collect discrete data

• Interpret and compare data

### Stage 3

• Whole numbers: Recognise, represent and order numbers in the millions
• Decimals and percentages: Recognise that the place value system can be extended beyond hundredths
• Decimals and percentages: Compare, order and represent decimals

Whole numbers: Locate and represent integers on a number line

• Collect categorical and discrete numerical data by observation or survey
