# Multi-age K–2, mathematics, Year A – Unit 11

Further develop students' knowledge, understanding and skills of place value and number representation in this multi-age sample unit – Collections of ten are really useful.

## Syllabus

In this unit, students will learn to:

- connect counting and numerals to quantities
- quantify, organise and represent large collections
- identify part-whole relationships in numbers up to 10
- demonstrate equivalence using mass and number combinations
- investigate mass and time
- describe the position of themselves and pathways between locations.
