This two-week unit develops students' knowledge, understanding and skills of making and using equal groups.

In this unit, students will learn to:

  • recognise, model and use equal and unequal groups
  • share collections by forming equal groups
  • use arrangements to distinguish between the number of groups and the number in each group when describing collections of objects
  • solve multiplication and division problems using objects, diagrams, images, and actions.
