This 2-week, Year B unit develops the big idea that angles are the primary structural component of many shapes.

Students are provided opportunities to:
- describe and compare angles in relation to right angles
- represent and read analog and digital time
- utilise partitioning and multiplicative relationships to represent fractional quantities of time.
Partitioned fractions A – MAO-WM-01, MA2-PF-01
- Create fractional parts of a length using techniques other than repeated halving
- Model and represent unit fractions, and their multiples, to complete a whole on a number line
Partitioned fractions B – MAO-WM-01, MA2-PF-01
Represent fractional quantities equal to and greater than one
Geometric measure A – MAO-WM-01, MA2-GM-03
Angles: Identify angles as measures of turn
Geometric measure B – MAO-WM-01, MA2-GM-03
Angles: Compare angles to a right angle
Non-spatial measure A – MAO-WM-01, MA2-NSM-02
Time: represent and read analog time
Non-spatial measure B – MAO-WM-01, MA2-NSM-02
- Time: Represent and interpret digital time displays
- Time: Use am and pm notation
