Quirky comics: Greek – Μυστήριο στην Αθήνα 2
This intermediate text is about a young man who receives a mysterious phone call that leads him to different places.
The Quirky comics video texts support the teaching of 'Understanding texts' outcomes in the Modern Languages K-10 Syllabus. This can be done in many ways, including:
- Students can use the provided transcripts to read the stories aloud and record themselves perform the stories as plays.
- They can summarise, sequence, extend and change the beginning or ending of the stories.
- They can write profiles of the characters and then put them in different situations.
The texts can also lead to communicative 'Interacting' or 'Creating texts' tasks, such as, telling a nurse why you don’t feel well or writing an invitation to a birthday party.

Woman with orange hat: Για σας, Είστε ο Αντρέας;
Man with blue hair: Ναι, βέβαια.
Woman with orange hat: Αυτό το γράμμα είναι για σας.
Man with blue hair: Μήπως είσαι η Δάφνη;
Woman with orange hat: ՙΟχι, κάνετε λάθος. Σας παρακαλώ, να διαβάσετε προσεκτικά το γράμμα αυτό. Για σας.

Man with blue hair: στο καφενείο....μπροστά απ՚το σταθμό….. αύριο στις πέντε το απόγευμα; Περίεργο! Τι είναι όλα αυτά;
Man with blue hair:.....Περίεργα πράγματα.......

Woman with purple sunglasses: Μήπως σας λένε Αντρέα;
Man with blue hair: Ναι Αντρέα με λένε. Δάφνη, εσύ;
Woman with purple sunglasses: Δε με λένε Δάφνη. Σας παρακαλώ, φορέστε αυτή την περούκα.
Man with blue hair: Για κοίτα! Με την περούκα και το μουστάκι ίδιος ο πατέρας μου!
Woman with purple sunglasses: Λοιπόν, ακούστε με προσοχή. Κάπιος θα σας περιμένει στο κατάστημα ρούχων που βρίσκεται πίσω από την τράπεζα.
Man with blue hair: Θα μου εξηγήσετε επιτέλους;
Woman with purple sunglasses: Κάνετε γρήγορα! Δεν έχουμε πολλή ώρα!

Woman with pink wig: Τ՚ όνομα σου είναι Αντρέας. ՙΕτσι δεν είναι;
Man with blue hair: Ναι, και το δικό σου Δάφνη. Σωστά;
Woman with pink wig: ՙΟχι, κάνετε λάθος. Δεν ει̍μαι η Δάφνη. Ελάτε τώρα, βάλτε αυτό το παλτό.
Man with blue hair: Να βάλω το παλτό; Μα γιατί;

Man with blue hair: Μα γιατί; Εξηγήστε μου επιτέλους!
Woman with pink wig: Μη ρωτάτε πολλά σας παρακαλώ! Βιαζόμαστε!

Woman with eye patch: Καλώς ήρθατε! Σας περίμενα.
Man with blue hair: Μα εσύ είσαι η Δάφνη. Κάνω λάθος;
Woman with eye patch: Ναι, κάνετε λάθος. Για ποια Δάφνη μιλάτε; Βάλτε, σας παρακαλώ αυτά τα γυαλιά.
Man with blue hair: Και γυαλιά τώρα; Τι άλλο με περιμένει αλήθεια;
Woman with eye patch: Μην ανησυχείτε! Ας πάρουμε το ασανσέρ για τον πέμπτο όροφο και θα δείτε. Γρήγορα!
