Movement sequence composition assessment task

Stage 5 – 2-3 lesson assessment focused on choreographing and performing a dance with a partner.

Consider the following questions when adapting or developing assessments.

  • Why does this learning matter?

The following sample resource can be adapted by teachers to suit the individual needs of their students. Use these resources to plan and deliver PDHPE. They are suitable for the PDHPE K-10 syllabus (2018).

Resource content

Students will either:

  • create their own 8 phrases movement sequence
  • or create their own modified version of the heel and toe polka, Macarena, Nutbush, or Troika dances.
