The Your School Plan and Form a Community reports provide a high level view of the content in your school plan.

Executive Directors and Directors of public schools can view all schools within their Principal Network.

How will these reports benefit me?

The Your School Plan and Form a Community reports support principals and deputy principals in operationalising key areas of the school plan. The Your School Plan report provides a range of resources relevant to the school plan. The Form a Community report allows schools to identify other schools who share similar school plan characteristics.

What do the Your School Plan and Form a Community reports provide?

On the left hand side of the Your School Plan report, there is a list of the specific terms used in the school plan. By clicking on each term, the Your School Plan report provides a list of associated resources. This includes related policies and procedures, CESE resources, professional learning, evidence for learning links and additional resources.

By clicking on the link next to each resource, it will navigate directly to the associated material. This may then provide information which is useful in planning actions required to milestone and resource the school plan.

The first page of this report presents school plan terms mapped to five types of resources:

Policy/Procedure

• Each school plan term is mapped to the current policies and procedures found in the policy library. Some terms may be informed by multiple policies and procedures.

CESE Resources

• Each school plan term is mapped to research and resources available from CESE. This can support how related evidence might inform practices.

Professional Learning

• Each school plan term is mapped to the professional learning available from CESE and Teaching Standards in Action. This list may be updated in the future to include other professional learning offered by the Department of Education.

Evidence for Learning Toolkit

• Each school plan term is mapped to the resources provided by the Evidence for Learning Toolkit. These resources include the impact on learning, cost and an explanation of research.

Additional Resources

• Each school plan term is mapped to additional resources found from AITSL, NESA, ACARA, DoE Websites and other government websites. The second page of this report provides schools with an opportunity to identify potential communities of practice.

Distance in Kms

• This feature allows schools to identify other schools within a particular distance range.

FOEI

• This feature allows schools to identify other schools within a particular FOEI range.

Enrolment

• This feature allows schools to identify other schools within a particular enrolment range.By using distance, FOEI and Enrolment simultaneously, schools can be narrowed down to reflect specific contexts.

School List

• A list of schools will be provided, based on the parameters set. Beside each school, a colour coded bar will show the key terms shared by schools. The list of terms to the right can then be selected to isolate the particular term on the chart.

How can I use the Your School Plan and Form a Community reports to support my school self-assessment?

• The report allows users to identify the resources and practices which they are utilising to operationalise their school plan. It also allows for the identification of practices to build the capacity of staff.
• The report can allow users to identify those schools which they might form a community of practice with.

What should I look for?

The list of resources can support schools identify the available information which can inform school plan implementation.

For example, what high yield practice can support reading achievement? What policies relate to student wellbeing? What professional learning is available for anti-bullying and anti-racism?
