Module 1 introduces the role of the educational leader as having a significant impact on the quality of education and care experienced by children. It describes the role and expectations of the preschool educational leader.

Module 2 focuses on leading the development and implementation of an educational program that is underpinned by the Early Years Learning Framework and promotes learning outcomes. It explores what the educational leader needs to look for in terms of a quality preschool program and documentation, and suggests strategies to support preschool educators to develop each stage of the assessment and planning cycle.

Module 3 explores how the educational leader leads an ongoing cycle of quality improvement, resulting in continuous improvement and quality outcomes for children and families. It suggests a process that can be implemented to engage with continuous improvement and highlights similarities between whole school and preschool processes.

Module 4 explores how current, accurate preschool procedures support consistent, high quality practices. It suggests a process that can be implemented to ensure procedures are accurate, meet regulatory and quality standards and protect the health, safety and well-being of the preschool children.

School staff in the role of educational leader and supervisor of a public preschool.
