How to enter
The Awards honour and reward the achievements of learners, teachers, training organisations and employers.
How to enter
Before you jump into the nomination portal:
- Check your eligibility and conditions of entry
- Confirm which region you belong to
- Review the relevant eligibility and selection criteria pdf for your category
- Collect any supporting documentation you may need (review the relevant Eligibility and Selection Criteria pdf)
- Confirm your Endorser and their details
- Check our submission tips.
Nomination process
- Register or login to the online portal.
- Confirm your email - an email will be sent to you to confirm your account before you can start. Note: this applies to new users only.
- Complete all nomination sections.
- Include an Endorser and provide their contact details (note: Your Endorser has until 9 February 2026, 4pm to endorse your nomination).
- Submit before closing date.
- Check your email confirming your nomination.
Submission tips
- Write clearly and simply; dot points are fine
- Prepare responses to selection criteria in Word (or similar) before pasting into the online form
- Refer to any supporting attachments in your nomination
- Use practical examples to support your statements (e.g. if you say you understand industry trends, give examples).
- Do not exceed the word limit for each response.
- Speak with your Endorser before adding their contact details - all nominations must be endorsed to be eligible
Supporting attachments
individuals must provide a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5 supporting attachments.
Organisations must provide a minimum of 2 and a maximum fo 10 supporting attachments.
You must ensure that your responses to the selection criteria are the focus of your nomination and that the supporting documentation serves as additional evidence/support for your criteria responses.
There are 2 types of supporting attachments:
- Mandatory documentation – required for your nomination to be accepted
- Optional attachments – additional information that can support your nomination
Mandatory documentation
Apprentices, Trainees and Vocational Awards
You must provide evidence of your completion date or early completion, such as:
- a Certificate of Proficiency, or
- a signed Request for Competency-Based Completion with Registered Training Organisation (RTO) evidence
School-Based Awards (SBAT and VET in Schools)
You must provide:
- course confirmation, showing the qualification or course you are enrolled in
- confirmation of current school enrolment, such as a signed letter from your principal or teacher
VET Teacher/Trainer Award
You must provide:
- evidence of your current Training and Assessment qualification
Organisation categories
You must provide:
- a CEO or Managing Director endorsement letter, and
- the most recent NCVER data (for Registered Training Organisations)
Optional attachments
You are encouraged to include additional documents to strengthen your application.
For individuals
You may include:
- your resume
- details of awards or prizes received
- a reference or letter of support
- workplace or training photos showing you in action
For organisations
You may include:
- workplace or action photographs
Tips
- Only attach clear, legible copies of your documents.
- Combine related items into a single file where possible.
- Check that all mandatory documents are included before submitting your nomination.
