Parents and Citizens Association activities

The department values the relationship between schools and their P&C Association and supports the P&C's use of the school's facilities.

The school P&C Association may hold meetings on school premises with the approval of the principal. These meetings should be held free of charge and without the need for a formal agreement to be in place.

All other P&C Association activities held on school premises must have a formal agreement in place, unless as otherwise noted in the Sharing of School Facilities implementation procedures. The type of agreement required depends on the proposed activity, for example outside school hours care services, canteens, uniform shops, fund-raising activities organised by the P&C Association.

A single agreement between the school P&C Association and the school for unspecified activities or duration is not sufficient.
