School Level Growth

The School-Level Growth report shows how the school has performed by NAPLAN Domains (i.e. Reading) and compares this to State (NSW government schools) and schools’ Statistically Similar School Group (SSSG).

Executive Directors and Directors Educational Leadership can view all schools within their Principal Network.

How will this report benefit me?

The School-Level Growth report allows schools to analyse their NAPLAN performance Average Scaled Growth in each item of the Assessments and compares the percentage of students who have exceeded the Expected Growth.

The report compares the results for the selected school, the SSSG and the state.

What does the report provide?

This one page report presents information on:

Average Scaled Growth – School Compared to SSSG and State

This bar chart compares the Average NAPLAN Growth Score of the school with the percentage of students in statistically similar schools and the State DoE for each Domain of the selected Assessment.

At or Above Expected Growth – School Compared to SSSG and State

This bar chart provides the percentage of students whose growth is at or greater than the Expected Growth and compares with the growth of students in statistically similar schools and the State DoE for each Domain of the selected Assessment.

How can I use the report to support my school self-assessment?

You can analyse the Average NAPLAN Growth Score of the school, percentage of students whose growth is at or above Expected Growth and compares to the SSSG and State DoE to assist in developing enriching learning activities. The data in this report can be used to support several SEF elements, especially School Performance Measures.

What should I look for?

  • This chart can be used to show Average Growth of the student’s NAPLAN Scores in the selected Assessment and Domains and percentage of students whose growth is at or above Expected Growth.
  • The information shown by hovering over the bar chart provides Average Growth Scores and % Students Greater than Expected Growth of the School, SSSG and the State DoE.
