VALID Percentage of Students in Levels

The Percentage of Students in Level report provides a high level view of a school’s percentage of students by VALID levels and compares it over time or to the scores to the school’s Statistically Similar School Group (SSSG) and State.
Executive Directors and Directors Educational Leadership can view all schools within their Principal Network. School-based teaching staff can view their school.

How will this report benefit me?

The report illustrates the performance of your school’s cohort percentage in the VALID levels over time and compares it to the SSSG and state.

The report highlights any changes or differences in results throughout time, for the selected school, the SSSG and State.

This cluster bar chart compares the percentage of students in a school who achieved each level in VALID, with the percentage of students in the selected years (up to the last 4 years).

This table provides the total number of students in a school who have participated in the selected Assessment (e.g. VALID 8) and selected Aspect.

How can I use this report to support my school self-assessment?

You can analyse the movement of students between the levels to assist in developing enriching learning activities. The data in this report can be used to support several SEF elements, especially Student Performance Measures, Assessment and Reporting and Curriculum and Learning.

What should I look for?

This chart can be used to show changes in the percentage of students achieving in the selected level category over time or compared to SSSG and State. It can highlight differences in achievements and help to evaluate teaching strategies and programs.
