VALID Participation
This report shows the number of students who have participated and those that did not participate in VALID.
How will this report benefit me?
This report will help Network directors understand the context to consider the validity of the VALID reports based on the numbers at schools. For example, a high percentage of students may not have participated, making other reports less insightful.
What does the report provide?

Chart
This stacked bar chart shows the VALID participation numbers and types by the selected schools. Multiple schools may be selected for a comparison.
Table
The table displays data for each selected school and the number of students in each participation type.
Use the slicers to select schools and filter the data for further analysis:
- Year
- Directorate, Network, School
- VALID Assessment – 6, 8, 10
- Enrolment Type Group
- Gender
- Aboriginal
- EAL/D
How can I use the report to support teaching and learning at my school?
This report needs to be used in conjunction with other VALID reports to understand the sample size and therefore validity of the reported data.
What should I look for?
- Small sample sizes may not provide true inferences about a population, and insights presented may be not valid.
