These resources have been designed for use by teachers in connection to the Year 7 program for Seeing through a text. The materials are samples and are intended to support teachers as they develop contextually appropriate teaching and learning resources for their students’ needs. It is not intended to be taught exactly as is presented in its current format. There are instructions for the teacher and instructions for the student throughout the resources and activities. Teachers using this resource should edit and refine these to suit their students’ needs, interests, abilities and the texts selected.
They can be used as: a basis for the teacher’s own program, assessment, or scope and sequence; or be used as an example of how the English K–10 Syllabus (NESA 2022) could be implemented.
