  • Help a friend going through a tough time. Friends often notice things first. Maybe your friend is more irritable, sad or has stopped connecting with others. Here is some advice on how to help a friend going through a tough time.
  • Learn to help a friend who is not OK. Finding the words to start a conversation is not easy, especially when you do not know what kind of help you can offer. Remember, you don’t need to ‘fix’ things. Simply showing you care can give your friend strength and hope. Learn how to check in with someone.   • Know what to say to check-in with your friends. Download the Check-in app from Beyond Blue. It takes you through four super easy and super quick steps to help you and your friend feel comfortable.
  • Help your friend to stop cyberbullying. Your friend might be sad or scared by messages on the phone or internet. Kids Helpline shows you some there are things you can do to if your friend is being cyberbullied.
