• assist schools manage bicycles and wheeled devices being ridden to and from school safely
• communicate with parents and carers about safe riding
• reinforce with parents and carers it is their responsibility.

Bicycles

• bicycle rider safety guidelines for schools to edit and share with parents/carers/students
• bicycle rider safety agreement for schools to edit and share with parents/carers/students
• a guide to bicycle maintenance - eight-point safety checklist

Foot scooters and skateboards

Letters for non helmet use

If a student continually chooses not to wear a helmet a letter can be sent home to parents/carers and/or students about the importance of wearing a helmet and the law.
