Mathematics – Stage 1 – Year A – Unit 1
Collections of ten are really useful – this unit develops student knowledge, understanding, and skills of place value, and how attributes can be used to sort objects.

In this unit students will learn to:
- recognise, classify, and sort shapes using obvious features
- visualise, play, and investigate the base 10 numerical system
- ask questions, gather data, and represent data with objects and drawings.
