Sample unit of work
This Latin Continuers Stage 6 (Year 11) – sample unit (DOCX 4.7 MB) explores Catullus poems 1, 3, 5, 11, 13, 50 and 51.
Designed for 10 weeks of learning, it includes a range of activities and strategies to support students to read, understand, analyse literary features and translate these poems of the first century BCE poet Gaius Valerius Catullus.
Sample assessment task
The Latin Continuers Stage 6 (Year 11) – sample assessment task (DOCX 4.8 KB) on Catullus poem 50 assesses outcomes 1.1, 1.3, 2.1, 2.2 and 2.5. The task includes marking guidelines.
This task should not be used for assessment as it is in the public domain, however students could use the task for practice as part of the above unit of work.
