Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) Tier 1 Classroom systems of support e-learning focuses on flexible, continuously available prevention and early interventions for all students to reduce inappropriate behaviour in all learning spaces before it becomes chronic. The course aims to build school and teacher capacity to create positive learning environments, effectively use behaviour management supports to increase instructional time and instructional management supports to increased engaged time in learning. Intervention strategies address academic supports, behavioural, and social/emotional competencies to engage students in learning.

Participants will learn how to develop, implement and monitor classroom expectations, procedures and routines, encourage expected behaviour and respond to inappropriate behaviour. Participants will also understand how to implement active supervision, providing opportunities to respond and activity sequencing and choice.
