Understanding Behaviour

School-based non-teaching staff members make an important contribution to student progress and achievement by supporting principals, students and teachers, and maintaining positive relationships with parents/caregivers and the wider community.

Understanding Behaviour was developed with the Professional Learning Non-Teaching Staff team. It is designed to provide an overview of why non-teaching staff need to have an understanding of behaviour, what factors may contribute towards it, and some simple strategies to respond to behaviour across a continuum.
