The Understanding Behaviour course has been designed to support teaching staff and school learning support officers in their daily interactions with students. 

Understanding behaviour is divided into two modules:

Module 1 - An overview of behaviour:

• provides an understanding of behaviour, and the different factors that can influence it. Identifies how to support students when responding to behaviour, including challenging behaviour. 

Module 2 - Strategies to respond to behaviour escalation: 

• provides an understanding of the patterns of behaviour when escalating and de-escalating and identifies how to access resources to support students when responding to challenging behaviour.
