How will this report benefit me?

The Attendance Baseline comparison report can be used to gain insights into attendance rates of similar schools and the average attendance rate of your SSSG or SSP sub-type.

How has the attendance rate been measured in this report?

The attendance rate for this report is calculated based on the Semester 1 attendance census for all students in Years K–12. An absence is when any student has a negative full-day absence recorded or has a partial absence over 120 consecutive minutes (due to late arrival, out of class or early departure). All partial absences (over 120 minutes) are recorded as a 0.5 absence. This is the official definition of attendance rate as per the ACARA national definition but is inclusive of all students from Year K–12.
