Professional learning programs

Professional learning is an important element of the performance and development process. It supports you to achieve your work and career goals leading to the development of a skilled, effective and professional workforce to improve student outcomes.

What professional learning is available?

In the current environment we recognise the challenges that all staff face in adapting to significant changes in the way teaching and learning occurs. This includes the way in which we undertake professional learning and the method in which it is delivered.

As we manage return to school and the restrictions still in place due to COVID-19, face-to-face professional learning will not be available until we have been advised it's safe to do so.

Search MyPL using 'PLNTS' for information and enrolment on all available professional learning, including live scheduled interactive and recorded sessions for school based non-teaching staff. We are not yet able to offer face-to-face conferences or events.

PLNTS professional learning strategic alignments is a prerequisite course (5:33 minute video) in MyPL that will enable you to enrol in any other PLNTS course.

The video outlines how the Professional Learning Non-Teaching Staff (PLNTS) team strategically aligns all professional learning resources to key NSW Government and Department of Education priorities, strategies and frameworks.

You only need to complete this course once.

A range of recorded and eLearning courses available via MyPL for you to complete at a time that suits you.

This document provides a range of resources and professional learning opportunities available across other department sites. These include LinkedIn Learning, Health and Safety and Yammer.
