  • Identify part-whole relationships in numbers up to 10
Forming groups – MAO-WM-01, MAE-FG-01
  • Recognise and represent division
Geometric measure – MAO-WM-01, MAE-GM-02
  • Use direct and indirect comparisons to decide which is longer
  • Create half a length
Non-spatial measure – MAO-WM-01, MAE-NSM-01, MAE-NSM-02
  • Tell time on the hour on analog and digital clocks

  • Use counting sequences of ones with two-digit numbers and beyond

  • Recognise and recall number bonds up to ten
  • Represent and reason about additive relations

  • Recognise and represent division
  • Model doubling and halving with fractions
Two-dimensional measure – MAO-WM-01, MA1-2DS-01
  • 2D shapes identify and describe the orientation of shapes using quarter turns
Geometric measure – MAO-WM-01, MA1-GM-02
  • Measure the lengths of objects using uniform informal units
  • Compare lengths using uniform informal units
  • Subdivide lengths to find halves and quarters
  • Compare and order lengths, using appropriate uniform informal units
Non-spatial measure – MAO-WM-01, MA1-NSM-01, MA1-NSM-02
  • Tell time to the half-hour
  • Tell time to the quarter-hour using the language of ‘past’ and ‘to’
  • Describe duration using units of time
