Students are provided opportunities to:
- arrange objects to form a data display
- organise and represent data in effective and accurate ways
- recognise and describe the element of chance in everyday events
- conduct surveys to collect data and use data to solve problems
- gather and organise data and then display it in tables and picture graphs
- interpret a data display and describe information using comparative language.

- Instantly name the number of objects within small collections
- Connect counting and numerals to quantities
- Use counting sequences of ones with two-digit numbers and beyond
