Term 4 – Culturally Responsive Teaching

The Culturally Responsive Teaching Learning Circle is designed to strengthen educators’ capability to embed the Aboriginal Histories and Cultures cross-curriculum priority into their teaching practice. It supports school executive teams and teachers to deepen their understanding of the key concepts of Country/Place, Culture and People, and apply these concepts authentically within teaching and learning programs.

Participants will learn to:

• analyse their teaching and learning programs aligned to the Aboriginal Histories and Cultures cross curriculum priority
• develop a deeper understanding of the key concepts of Country/Place, Culture and People and increase their knowledge of how to embed and implement this into their teaching and learning programs and practice.
• partner with community to embed local examples of Aboriginal Histories and Culture in learning activities
• apply this knowledge in their teaching and learning programs
