Term 3 – Personalised Learning Pathways
The Personalised Learning Pathways (PLPs) Learning Circle will focus on effective PLP systems to increase Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student engagement, attendance, transitions, and overall educational outcomes.
This course is designed for Principals, School Executive, Teachers and Aboriginal Education Committees.
Participants will learn to:
- Understand the purpose and impact of PLPs in improving engagement, attendance, transitions and outcomes for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students
- Strengthen their knowledge of effective PLP systems and processes, including what quality practice looks like in schools
- Build confidence in implementing culturally responsive PLP processes that centre student voice, family engagement and community connection
- Analyse transition points within their school context and identify how PLPs can support continuity of learning and wellbeing
- Explore and adapt exemplary PLP models to design context-specific approaches aligned to their school and community
- Connect PLP practice to system priorities, including alignment with Our Plan for NSW Public Education, with focuses on student voice, high potential and gifted, explicit teaching and equity for excellence
