The Scout tool, which has replaced SMART as the department’s platform for education data and analysis, allows us to drill down deep into student and staff information, identify and track trends and help teachers better understand their students  to improve teaching and learning.

Scout offers principals and teachers access to reports such as NAPLAN, VALID, HSC and enrolments across schools. The tool has many more functions, such as generating a community profile, providing more information about what staff can teach, and tracking where school funds have been spent.
