Environmental and zoo education centres
The NSW Department of Education operates 24 Environmental and Zoo Education Centres (EZECs) across NSW. They are the leading providers of teacher-led school excursions and incursions, supporting thousands of K–12 students each year.
Centres deliver curriculum-aligned programs, High potential and gifted education, fieldwork, wellbeing activities and camps in some centres. They also support professional learning and sustainability education addressing waste, water efficiency, energy consumption and biodiversity.
