Coding with micro:bit: Live virtual classroom

Join the Digital Support Team for a hands-on 1-hour virtual classroom designed for NSW DoE teachers and their students. Your class will follow along with our facilitators to explore coding Micro:Bits in Microsoft MakeCode, creating programs that can be tested using the online simulator or run on physical micro:bit devices if you have them.

In this session, we’ll cover:

  • Introducing key coding concepts using Microsoft MakeCode.
  • Creating and testing code using the MakeCode micro:bit simulator and physical micro:bit devices.
  • Completing a guided coding challenge, with dedicated pause points for teachers to support their students.

This session is designed for teachers to participate alongside their class, providing a supported introduction to coding that can be continued and built upon within future classroom lessons.
