Participants will engage with concepts and strategies to enhance progress and achievement for every student.
Learning goals
This professional learning will improve teacher practice in the following ways:
- A team of four highly experienced drama teachers, senior HSC markers and Head Teachers, worked to develop content and resources for this PL.
- Through the assessment task. The assessment task will be submitted in the CA state-wide staffroom Drama channel. The tasks ask the participant to reflect on and unpack their marking criteria and quality of individual feedback to students, which will improve their classroom practice.
- Teachers will also submit a personal reflection booklet requiring them to make links with the learning and increased knowledge to their own school’s specific strategic directions, to the syllabus outcomes, and the teacher professional standards. This is directly submitted to the CA curriculum team for feedback.
- Teachers will enjoy participating in this e-learning. The modules are interactive and contain different practical approaches for address the essay structure. The content, delivery, and assessment has been designed and created by a team of teachers led by the Creative Arts Advisor from around the state. There is learning in there for every teacher and their students.
This is an online course.
Success Criteria
The professional learning requires a facilitator, supervisor and automated process to determine the achievement of learning objectives through a formal or informal judgement or observation.
Achievement of the learning objectives in the course is determined in several ways.
- Within the module participants respond to eLearning techniques for engagement. These include close passages, answering questions, writing short answer responses, dropping and dragging items.
- Resources within the modules can also be downloaded for use within the classroom.
- The module is finalised by the completion of an assessment task for the participant. The participant will complete the assessment and have it submitted in the SWSR and a reflection booklet to a CA curriculum team member.
