National Schools Constitutional Convention
Students enrolled in Year 11 or 12 in 2026 are invited to apply for the National Schools Constitutional Convention in Canberra.
Call for applications
The National Schools Constitutional Convention (NSCC) is a vital part of the Australian Government’s Civics and Citizenship Education (CCE) program. It is an annual event that supports senior high school students to explore the Australian Constitution.
Every year, students from government and non-government schools across Australia gather to debate the Constitution, explore how government works, and share ideas about democracy. This event takes place in March at the Museum of Australian Democracy, Canberra.
A total of 30 NSW students will be selected to attend the Convention in 2026. The NSCC will be conducted as a school excursion in accordance with the Excursions and variations to routine procedure.
Important changes for 2025
In previous years, NSW students were selected after participating in the NSW Schools Constitutional Convention in November.
