The School Magazine
The School Magazine is a children’s literary magazine. It provides high-quality texts and learning resources to encourage a lifelong love of reading in primary students and support teachers in the classroom.

What's included
The School Magazine has everything primary teachers need for their English program in one place. Ten issues of the four magazines are published each year.
Diverse and engaging content
Each issue contains a combination of culturally inclusive and diverse stories, articles, plays, persuasive texts, poetry, cartoons and comic serials.
Students can test their comprehension and develop their skills via interactive activities, word puzzles, reading challenges, audio recordings and writing competitions.

Educational support
Every issue comes with free resources designed by teachers and aligned with the NSW English K–10 Syllabus and Australian Curriculum: English.
Resources include:
- lesson plans with learning intentions and success criteria
- worksheets that incorporate Component A and B from the NSW English K–10 Syllabus
- scope and sequences
- assessment rubrics
- textual concept videos.
A digital subscription allows teachers to filter texts by outcome, assign texts to students and monitor work completed.

Differentiation and accessibility
There are four age levels available, ensuring texts align with the interests and reading levels of different students.
Audio recordings and accessible layouts support diverse learning needs and are compatible with assistive technologies at home or in the classroom. Braille and Large print versions are also available upon request.

Subscribers can choose from print, digital or hybrid subscription models.
Schools can receive 75% off their digital subscription when they order a minimum of 45 print copies each issue. Discounts also apply for remote schools.
