Leading effective curriculum implementation

Professional learning to support middle leaders K–12 with the skills needed to ensure effective curriculum implementation. It helps promote school-wide consistency across the three School Excellence Framework (SEF) domains of learning, teaching and leading.

Participation

Assistant principals and head teachers are encouraged to attend. Aspiring leaders, instructional leaders and assistant principals, curriculum and instruction are also invited to attend.

About the course

This professional learning uses a blended approach, combining online and self-paced learning to create a flexible learning experience for participants.

Course overview

The six modules in this course are aligned to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST), the School Excellence Framework (SEF) and the School Leadership Institute’s (SLI) Middle leader role descriptions.

In addition, middle leaders are encouraged to use the resources and session recordings to unpack the learning with their school leadership teams between each module.

The expected time allocation for the professional learning is 3 hours per module. Additional time will be required if participants are leading this learning back at school.
