Inland southern NSW - Grenfell area

Teach and make a difference in Grenfell

Birthplace of Henry Lawson, Grenfell is a town steeped in history. Located in the Weddin Shire in central New South Wales, Grenfell retains much of its old world character in its heritage architecture and streetscapes, yet remains contemporary in outlook and culture.

The Grenfell area embraces thriving communities set within a peaceful rural landscape, affordable housing, excellent recreational and sporting facilities as well as quality health care and family services. The three villages of the Weddin Shire – Greenethorpe, Caragabal and Quandialla – are all a short drive from Grenfell and offer their own unique attractions.

Quandialla Central School is a small K-12 central school with a strong tradition of student success in academic, sports and co-curricular areas. Students consistently achieve success in swimming, athletics, public speaking and debating and eisteddfods.

If you would like to help engage and empower students to become respected and valuable members of the local community, why not make a tree change to Grenfell – a career destination where there are many opportunities to make a difference.

As an educator at Quandialla Central School you could also be eligible for additional personal leave days and a rental subsidy of 50 per cent.

If you like living where people are friendly and helpful and there’s a sense of history, this is the place for you. There’s a really strong sense of community here.
