Teachers eligible to apply for the fifth year Flexible pathway (option A or B) scholarship will have completed an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited fourth year Honours or Honours equivalent undergraduate program, Advanced Graduate Diploma or equivalent, within the last 10 years, with a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 75.

If you are eligible to enrol in a fifth year APAC accredited psychology degree, you may apply for either the one year full-time or two year part-time School Counsellor in Training Program to complete your Master of Professional Psychology (School Psychology).

Scholarship recipients studying full-time (Option A) receive:

  • up to 120 study leave days to support you during your one year of academic studies

  • up to 120 casual relief days paid to schools during your one year of academic studies

  • tuition fees paid

  • placement supervision

  • a Master of Professional Psychology (School Psychology) from Charles Sturt University upon successful completion of the course

  • a permanent school counselling position in a NSW public school in an area of workforce need.

Scholarship recipients studying part-time (Option B) receive:

  • up to 120 study leave days to support you during your 2 years of part-time academic studies

  • up to 120 casual relief days paid to schools during your 2 years of part-time academic studies

  • tuition fees paid

  • placement supervision

  • a Master of Professional Psychology (School Psychology) from Charles Sturt University upon successful completion of the course

  • a permanent school counselling position in a NSW public school in an area of workforce need.
