The Administration and Staff Hub is the public/school interface. The Staff Hub is to be located adjacent to the Administration Hub and is a work and recreational area for the school staff.

- Admin block to be located at the main school entry.
- Entry vestibule area is to be accessible to general public, with direct access from the main entry. It needs to include direct access to clerical/printing/workroom space and direct access to minimum one dual access interview rooms.
- Clearly defined security line is mandatory requirement for admin block layouts. It establishes publicly accessible areas within the admin block and creates secure zone for staff and students.
- Dual access interview room provides access to school visitors and safe access for school staff, allowing direct link between interview room and secure areas behind main security line.
- Student access to the admin block in the vicinity of the clerical area and sick bay is mandatory.
- Sick bay needs to be located in the close proximity to the accessible student toilet.
- All rooms in administration block are to be protected in accordance with DG 39 Security Categories for Openings.

Rooms included in this hub
The Staff Lounge is a working and recreation space for staff. Adequate chairs and tables should be available to accommodate all staff for break periods and staff meetings. Notice boards should be provided to display essential information. A kitchenette is provided for simple food and beverage preparation.
