10 teachers from six high schools in and around Moss Vale decided they couldn’t wait for Covid 19 to be gone to participate in a virtually-delivered Day 2 Road safety in PDHPE 7-10 professional learning workshop.

After attending a face to face Day 1 Road safety in PDHPE 7-10 professional learning workshop at Moss Vale High School, teachers wanted the opportunity to get together again and learn more about designing strengths-based, skills-focused Stage 4 and 5 road safety teaching and learning for their students. It, therefore, meant a Day 2 workshop was quickly developed via zoom which they could register and attend.

Despite teachers being distanced and only available to each other via their screen, the level of collaboration would have you wonder if they were really in the same room. The discussion, sharing and output was fantastic and everyone felt it was a valuable way to continue their learning.

Teachers were provided with access to resources they could tailor to their school's needs and were able to create programs to address their school’s road safety concerns such as:

• Stage 4 and Stage 5 units of work
• PowerPoints to support teaching and learning
• resources based on interactive crash statistics
• summative and formative assessment tasks.
