Teotihuacan

A Stage 6 learning sequence with an assessment task, to support you when teaching aspects from ‘Investigating Ancient History’ within the Case Study ‘Teotihuacan’.

Students investigate aspects of the history of the ancient world using a range of sources. The Historical concepts and skills content can be integrated as appropriate.

Focus questions

  • How important was religion to the people of Teotihuacan?
  • What sources of evidence or records are important in the study of Teotihuacan everyday life?
  • What are the key features of Teotihuacan?
  • How does the site study of Teotihuacan influence our understanding of past civilisations?


Assessment

Students will conduct a source analysis and present a 5-10 minute multimedia lecture on the development and importance of the site of Teotihuacan.
