VALID Science tests and marking key dates for 2024:
VALID Science and Technology 6:
- Test window: 2 September to 13 September 2024
- In-school marking window: 18 September to 18 October 2024
- Results in Scout available: mid-November 2024
VALID Science 10:
- Test window: 2 September to 13 September 2024
- In-school marking window: 18 September to 18 October 2024
- Results in Scout available: mid-November 2024
VALID Science 8:
- Test window: 28 October to 8 November 2024
- External corporate marking: November 2024
- Results in Scout available: late December 2024
As soon as possible
- Place VALID Science on school calendar
- Reserve exclusive use of computer rooms or learning spaces for test window
Prior to the test
- Check school technology profile and run diagnostics test page on each computer to be used for VALID Science
- Download the 2024 Administration Manual (coming soon)
- Access and demonstrate sample test (username: testing, password: science)
By 2 August 2024
- Apply for Braille resourcing if needed
By 16 August 2024
- Send letter to parents about VALID Science and Technology 6 (coming soon)
- Non-government schools student list due
28 August 2024
- STA access to student data on test platform
- Complete pre test administrative tasks
- Check student details in the administration portal and print student password cards
2 September 2024
- VALID Science and Technology 6 test window opens (remember multiple test sessions can be undertaken during this window)
13 September 2024
- VALID Science and Technology 6 test window closes
- Complete test administration
18 September to 18 October 2024
- In-school marking including online marker training
Early term 4 2024
- Release of Preliminary reports
Mid-term 4 2024
- Release of full Scout reports
Late-term 4 2024
- Release of Individual student reports
As soon as possible
- Place VALID Science on school calendar
