Register your school

2024 VALID Science registrations are now closed

If you have any enquiries please contact the VALID team.

Schools are required to nominate two teachers as School Test Administrators (STAs). The email addresses for both STAs and the principal are required on registration. You will receive an automated email (check your junk mail) to confirm your registration.

VALID 8 is mandatory for government schools and is corporately marked.

VALID 6 and 10 are opt-in and schools are required to mark their school's student responses.

Professional learning is provided for teachers to undertake this marking. Completing Differentiating student responses using SOLO for VALID 6, 8 or 10 will contribute 5 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of delivery and assessment of NSW Curriculum addressing Standard Descriptor(s) 2.1.2, 5.1.2, 5.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher in NSW.

Registrations are now closed.
