Are you an experienced teacher based overseas or interstate? Would you like to work in a NSW public school? Great news, the Recruitment Beyond NSW Program supports qualified teachers to gain approval to teach and ongoing full-time employment with the NSW Department of Education in regional and high-demand schools.
As part of the Teacher Supply Strategy, the Recruitment Beyond NSW Program aims to recruit more than 500 qualified and experienced teachers into NSW classrooms.
As a participant in the program, you will be supported by the NSW Department of Education every step of the way, with successful recruits receiving assistance with relocation, Australian border control measures, quarantine and visa requirements.


Interstate teachers - financial incentives*
- $10,000 retention benefit after being employed by the department for the 3-year service commitment period
- Up to $30,000 per annum extra under the Rural Teacher incentive scheme**


International teachers - financial incentives*
- Relocation support of up to $10,000
- $10,000 retention benefit after being employed by the Department for the 3-year service commitment period
- Up to $30,000 per annum extra under the Rural Teacher incentive scheme**
