Are you a teacher based overseas or interstate? Would you like to work in a NSW public school? Great news, the Recruitment Beyond NSW Program supports qualified teachers of STEM subject areas to gain approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education.

As part of a $13.5 million program to bring more than 500 qualified STEM teachers from other countries and states into NSW classrooms, the Recruitment Beyond NSW Program is currently recruiting teachers to commence work in 2022.

If you are a teacher of a high-demand subject area such as mathematics, science, technological and applied studies or engineering, you may be eligibile for the Recruitment Beyond NSW Program.

As a participant in the program, you will be supported by the NSW Department of Education every step of the way, with successful recruits receiving assistance with relocation, Australian border control measures, quarantine and visa requirements.

Financial incentives - interstate teachers*
  • $10,000 retention benefit after being employed by the Department for the 3-year service commitment period
  • Up to $30,000 per annum extra under the Rural Teacher incentive scheme**

Interstate Teachers

The Recruitment Beyond NSW Program is open to all experienced TAS teachers from all states and territories within Australia.

International Teachers

The Recruitment Beyond NSW Program is open to all experienced TAS teachers. Successful STEM Teachers will enter on a valid visa.
