About the Teach and Learn Scholarship (Specialist Teaching Areas)
Find out if the Teach and Learn Scholarship (Specialist Teaching Areas) could support you to acquire additional competencies in one of the following specialist teaching areas:
Scholarships are available for teachers recommended for a permanent specialist teaching position (minimum 0.6 FTE) following merit selection and who are required to undertake further studies as a condition of employment.
Financial support
- $20,000 per year of full-time study
- Paid study leave whilst completing a practicum and up to 8 additional days of study leave per academic year.
Professional Development
- Upskill as a Teacher Librarian, Careers Adviser or English as an Additional Language/Dialect teacher
Transferrable skills
- Develop transferrable skills that will enable you to teach in a variety of school settings
Eligibility
- Approved teachers with the NSW Department of Education
