Catalogue overview
All programs in the Student Wellbeing external programs catalogue have been assessed against quality standards to provide proven, positive outcomes for students. In order to be included, the programs have had to meet a range of criteria: they need to be evidence-based, relevant and inclusive, as well as aligning to the current curriculum and key departmental documents.
Launched in 2022, the Student Wellbeing external programs catalogue currently includes over 60 quality assured programs. The offering is updated regularly, with themes identified through school-based data and independent research.
Included is also a selection of mental health and wellbeing programs delivered in partnership between the Department of Education, government agencies, universities and mental health organisations and provided to schools free of charge.
Wellbeing themes in the catalogue
The current release of programs supports three themes:
- Programs supporting positive student behaviour
- Programs building resilience
- Programs improving students' sense of belonging
Benefits for schools and providers
For schools, the Student Wellbeing external programs catalogue removes the need for investing considerable staff time to research and assess programs and providers, and negotiate contracts and prices.
For program authors and developers, inclusion in the catalogue places their content in front of all public schools across New South Wales.
