For parents

The department delivers out of school hours care (OOSH) solutions that meet family needs. Using information provided by parents through surveys and consultation with schools and OOSH providers, we design solutions that suit the unique requirements of your school community.

OOSH enriches social and learning experiences for primary school-age children:

  • the majority of services operate before school from 7am, and after school until 6pm, however some operate from as early as 6am through to 6:30pm to meet their community needs
  • they are delivered onsite in schools or offsite locations nearby
  • provide a safe and caring environment for children with organised and purposeful activities and programs
