Quality Support Program

The NSW Department of Education, in partnership with the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA), from July 2022, is offering an opportunity to participate in the Quality Support Program Dual Program Pathways with two distinct pathways for eligible services.

Quality support pathway

The Quality Support Pathway eligibility criteria have changed. This means that more services are eligible to access this tailored, 14-week support program to improve quality.

If your service is currently operating and has a rating of Working Towards NQS, you can express an interest to participate.

The NSW Regulatory Authority will continue to give priority to those services rated Working Towards NQS with six or more elements not met, located in areas of higher disadvantage.

For more information and to register, please visit the ACECQA website.

Compliance support pathway

The Compliance Support Pathway is a 6-week tailored support program to assist services remedy non-compliant practices and behaviours.

This pathway expands access to all services types of any NQS Quality Rating, subject to eligibility.

Participation in the Compliance Support Pathway is by direct referral from the NSW Department of Education. The Department will refer services by using regulatory data that highlights a need for improvement in the areas of children’s health and safety and governance and leadership.
