NSW Department of Education Code of Conduct
The Code of Conduct reflects the department’s core values and is a reference for employees to support their day to day decision making.
The department is preparing young people for rewarding lives as engaged citizens in a complex and dynamic society. To achieve this purpose, we need to work together in ways that uphold our values and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and the community. Our Code of Conduct helps set high standards to guide our work and our professional relationships.
The department promotes an organisational culture of innovate thinking and continuous self-development, where people are proud to work.
The Code of Conduct was recently reviewed and updated to reflect the significant political, social and legislative changes that have occurred since the previous version (implemented in 2014).
The current Code of Conduct is published in the Policy Library.
