This design framework introduces Standardised design in NSW schools and provides a range of standardised floor plans that can be selected in accordance with site conditions, education rationale, and school size (stream). A Standardised approach can enable delivery of school buildings through Modern Methods of Construction methodologies (MMC).
MMC is a design and construction process that combines the manufacture of building components, such as wall systems and facades, in a safe, clean and efficient factory environment, with on-site construction assembly. This approach achieves improved design efficiencies whilst providing for enhanced learning outcomes.
